Small changes - Big things to come

MINOR TWEAKS
It's been a while since i have worked on this game so i decided to make up for it by upgrading the visual fidelity it's not alot but still something. the visual has been tweaked but the gameplay only received minor changes which is that now you can push boxes afar using the bear's head. this sometimes result in an amazing throw, landing on the button or it gets launched into orbit. implementing it was straight forward just applying an impulse to the box relative to the player's direction and multiplying that by the strength i wanted to add.
The grass is also changed to actually resemble grass and not a bush! this took me a while since i hadno idea how to make grass by hand. i could've just take someone's assets but i was reluctant on trying it on my own and i'm pretty proud of it.

The main goal now is to overhaul the levels as well as come up with interesting game mechanics and integrate them in the game along with a story, before that i just wanna discuss the gameplay loop for a bit. i will say the core gameplay is shit at best, there's no variety and i used very unfriendly tactics to extend game time such as long ass distances to travel and having a slow ass bear, and i put a ton of bear traps in some level. just to synthesize fun and with that it becomes more of a chore especially when the game doesn't even have any exposition regarding a narrative / story , zero story no yapping at all. i don't see this as becoming a big thing it's a project that will teach me alot in terms of 3d afterall this is the first game i did in 3d that i actually learned alot when i developed it. especially vertex shaders. now onto the main goals.
THE GOAL
For the goals i wanted 20 levels at best. it's not gonna be a long game and i wanna keep it that way. it's a pretty simple game afterall. and add power ups puzzles benefit alot from power ups they offer variety of key points in completing a level making the player feel satisfied. Adding a story would also be one of the goals. And last polishing alot by adding some form of feedback using particles and sound effects.
EXTRA:
Things i have thought of adding into the game.
- temperature - this is leaning towards to a more survival genre and the very few first mechanics i thought of adding especially in the early development. i even had left over icons for it
the goal was to eat as much. as you approach winter and survive hibernating. as well as surviving harsh climates.
-a bear cave- this again leans towards to the survival genre, it serves as a go-to stop-by for the player during the night as well as a plot device.
-bear hunters- the enemy of the player, armed with tranqs and stealthy i originally planned them to be in one of the levels since they work on the puzzle genre i was setting up.
and that wraps it up.
before and after:
forgot to meantion i also changed the trees a bit.
