INTRODUCTION:  MY TOOLS AND EXPERIENCE

Hello to anyone reading this :D  i will be using GODOT 4 for the game i am making for the GOEDWARE GAME JAM #12 and libreaseprite  for sprites and LMMS for music/sfx! , i have been making games since 2020 or been trying to make games  :/  its been rough for me to get back to the game making scene lately as i 

THOUGHTS ABOU THE THEME:  "STRANGE POWERUPS"

First thing that came to my mind were rougelikes/roguelites  games like BINDING OF ISSAC  and  RISK OF RAIN  etc.. , Roguelikes/Roguelites possess lots of powerups that i can take a hold and twist! , that's why i  believe that this genre fits to the jam theme better than other genre since powerups are super vital to the genre of roguelikes/roguelites and it  just so happen that the theme revolves around one thing that roguelikes and roguelites have lots of..  "POWERUPS!"

  IDEAS : 

Similar to Binding of issac  i wanted my game to have a shooting mechanic as well . implementing that in godot was easy for me since i have made several attempts beforehand and i had grasped the way it works. so for this section i spent brainstorming design ideas for my characters.

Attempt  #1? :first i couldn't think of anything  humanoid it would be cool but i wanted the design to be simple. so i drew a simple sprite sheet 

suffice to say i made it super simple :D.

Final : i worked around the super simple design i had and ended up with this. its name is Willy
